Metal Gear Solid, and Fallout 3

Haven't posted about video games in quite some time. I played MGS4, after getting it with my PS3. Later, I decided to upgrade to a PS2 compatible PS3 console, and pick up some classic games to play that way. Since, I've played MGS2 and MGS3, starting during my vacation (beginning of June) through a few weeks ago. Great, the whole series.

Most recently, I've played through Fallout 3, from the makers of Oblivion. Turns out it's exactly the same game, with guns instead of swords, and radiation instead of portals to "hell". Especially in the context of having recently played three games of the MGS series, I can say this was disappointing. The only difference was the swap of guns for swords and magic, plus the details to make up the story. All the mechanics of the game were identical. And the ending was way less satisfying. (Spoiler alert: you die, and the game ends — you can't finish any quests you were still in the middle of.)
